On Friday, January 26th, German students from WHS gathered with German-speaking members from the Watertown community at Osaka. We exchanged stories and experiences and shared our love of the German language and culture! February is CTE (Career and Technical Education) Month. We would like to recognize the WHS CTE teachers for all their hard work and dedication to their students and programs!

The WUSD offers dual language, multi-age, STEM, agricultural/environmental, eCampus, traditional, advanced and specialized programming to support all students’ unique abilities and passions! This past weekend, a group of WHS students traveled to Minocqua and Eagle River, WI to learn about natural resources through outdoor education and Careers in Environmental Science. Students visited the Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua where they learned about Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education and birds of prey! Students then continued to Eagle River where they stayed on campus at a natural resource school, Trees for Tomorrow (TFT). The students participated in cross-country skiing, map and compass orienteering, survival skills, wildlife signs and tracking, lake ecology, and radio telemetry.
