Our WUSD Library Media programs are working jointly with the Watertown Public Library to share information about the Public Library's exciting summer programs. Please see the pamphlet your student will bring home in the next week, or check out the Watertown Public Library's website for a list of great summer activities! The WUSD would like to thank all of our extraordinary scholarship donors for awarding $500,000 in scholarships to our outstanding #WatertownWay Class of 2022 Seniors last night! We are extremely humbled! Words cannot describe your generosity! THANK YOU!

Memorial Day is a time to reflect upon those who served in our US Military. Today, our #WatertownWay REACH 18-21 Transition Program students spent the day learning about the history of Memorial Day. Students had the opportunity to walk around the Watertown Veterans Memorial Park honoring those men and women who served our country. While at the park, they discussed the different branches of the Military, the unforgettable wars, and special medals awarded for their service. The REACH students and staff would like to recognize and thank all those men and women who served in our US Military past and present - especially those who are from our Watertown Community.
Mr. Roley has been taking our #WatertownWay LEAP students outside during music class to enjoy the beautiful weather while they practice playing their recorders. 🎵🌞

Happy Mother's Day to all of our #WatertownWay moms! 👱🏾♀️ 👩🏾 👩

Excitement was in the air at LEAP on Tuesday as Mrs. Pirkel welcomed our incoming Kindergarteners for the 2022-23 school year at our #WatertownWay Kindergarten Orientation! They had the chance to check out the school, meet new friends, and do fun activities - like making a leopard mask! As a reminder of their fun time together, Mrs. Pirkel sent them home with a cute homemade bag, their mask, and a book.

The WHS Chapter of the National Tri-M Music Honor Society donated $1,500 this year to our three #WatertownWay elementary school music teachers in the WUSD! The high school musicians donated the money to purchase instruments, buy new technology for the classroom and pay for field trips that will broaden the musical experiences of our elementary students in Watertown and inspire them to continue making music. We are proud to be the Watertown UNIFIED School District! 😍

Here's a second SHOUT OUT to show our appreciation for our School Lunch Heroes:
Our #WatertownWay Nutrition Services team has worked tirelessly to provide emergency meals to students since the pandemic closed schools in March of 2020. The extension of free meals for all students for the past two years, coupled with severe supply chain disruptions, has created many unique challenges requiring nutrition programs to be creative in the areas of staffing and meal production. A HUGE THANK YOU to our Nutrition Services staff for the effort and care that you pour into your work daily for our students!
