A fun time was had by all at WUSD’s 30th Annual Children’s Day Fair on Saturday. Families were able to visit booths to learn about various different services offered throughout our area. Children participated in hands-on activities such as building a plane with our SkillsUSA students; pet animals in the FFA room; plant flowers, spin wheels for prizes, have their face painted; and visit with our police and fire personnel (just to name a few). A huge thank you goes out to all of our vendors for making this day special for our families. AND an extra special thank you to all the families who visited.

Please help us wish our #WatertownWay WUSD Administrative Professionals a wonderful Administrative Professionals Day today!

Mrs. Gratz’s 4/5 grade class at Schurz LOVES to read books by Alan Gratz. Together, the class has finished Two Degrees, which is a book about climate change. A few weeks ago, they wrote a letter to him to tell him about their adventures and the conversations his books provoke. Today, he wrote back. It sure was cool to hear from an author they all look up to!

On Monday, our Schurz 4th & 5th graders had a special presentation on soybeans from Ms. Conley as they continue to learn about Wisconsin and farming.

Great job to the cast, crew, and Mr. Will Wiley on a very entertaining and successful performance of Freaky Friday the Musical.

National Honor Society (NHS) member, Simon Steffanus, tutors a student in the media center. One of the services that NHS offers is tutoring. Simon has been extremely giving of his time. We appreciate the work that he has done along with the time that he has given.

These 2nd Grade Authors in Miss Skumatz's class at Douglas were proud to share their realistic fiction with some special guests and peers during their writing celebrations. It was neat to see these writers use what they have learned about feelings, thoughts, and emotions through dialogue and GREAT descriptive writing in their stories! Way to go, authors!!

LEAP Elementary 2nd and 3rd graders recently planted more seeds for the Watertown Garden Project! Students have been studying seeds and plants and were careful to give their seeds:
☑️space
☑️soil
☑️light
☑️water
☑️air
...and some students would argue, we need to give them love as well!
❤️🌱❤️🌱❤️🌱❤️
We look forward to watching them grow and then giving them back to the Watertown Garden Project to pass on in our community! It's the #WatertownWay!

Our #WatertownWay preschool Speech and Language Group at Douglas recently had a little fun making slime at school.
