WHS senior students are recognized for their academic achievements, participation in athletics, school organizations, and the contribution to the Watertown Community. Students will join the Watertown Rotary Club each Monday at their weekly meetings and luncheons. February: Ryley Wolfe is the daughter of Jeremy and Keri Wolfe. Ryley has been involved in multiple honor societies including Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Art Honor Society (currently Vice President), and National Honor Society. Ryley has also participated in HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Visual Art Classic, and WSMA State Honors Band. Outside of WHS, Ryley is a member of the Lake Mills City Band and participates in karate. Ryley is currently working at Hardee’s and is planning a future in healthcare. Tristan Maxwell is the son of Brittany Kehl and Michael Maxwell. Tristan has been involved in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Musical Pit Performances, and the Badger Honors Band. Tristan is also the Vice President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and a member of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. When not at WHS, Tristan participates in the Watertown Municipal Band and can also be found working as a CNA at The Marquardt. Tristan is planning on attending college to become a music educator. Callen Smith is the son of Dave and Ricky Smith. Callen has been involved in football, lacrosse, National Honor Society and the WHS Athletic Leadership Club over his four years of high school. Callen has also been a volunteer for youth flag football and youth lacrosse. Callen plans on attending a four year university to study wildlife conservation.

This past weekend, a group of WHS students traveled to Minocqua and Eagle River, WI to learn about natural resources through outdoor education and Careers in Environmental Science. Students visited the Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua where they learned about Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education and birds of prey! Students then continued to Eagle River where they stayed on campus at a natural resource school, Trees for Tomorrow (TFT). The students participated in cross-country skiing, map and compass orienteering, survival skills, wildlife signs and tracking, lake ecology, and radio telemetry.
