
Happy National Principals' Day to all the outstanding building principals in the Watertown Unified School District!



Last week a group of Mr. Gibson’s HOSA - Future Health Professionals students from Watertown High School qualified and competed at The HOSA State Leadership Conference and Competition held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Miliani Trujillo and Ashley Almendarez Martinez took 4th place in the team event - Forensic Science, and Grace Walter qualified for the International Competition held in Houston, Texas by taking second place in Medical Spelling. Congratulations to the Watertown High School Forensics team on an incredible performance at the WISDAA State Competition on Saturday, April 20 at DeForest High School. The following students earned a gold medal: Caroline Belisle, Julian Byrne, Riley Runke, Elliott Small, and Olivia Sorenson. The following students earned a silver medal: Sophia Anderson, Caleb Lemke, Alondra Lopez, Drew Kaufmann, Alexa Muza, Ciara Schreiber, Lily Small, and Sophie Sullivan. Congrats on a wonderful season!


Prom tickets are on sale at the front office with Mrs. Klinger. Tickets are $30 each and that price gets each student into both prom and post prom. Tickets will be $30 each until April 29, when the price changes to $35 each, so don't delay—buy your tickets soon!
Overall, the WHS Junior Prom is held in the Commons on Saturday, May 4 from 8:00 pm -11:30 pm with presentation of the prom court at 9:30 pm. All students must be in prom by 9:30 pm, and once you leave, you cannot re-enter. Post prom is held from 11:30 pm -2:00 am at the Elks Lodge where everything is free, including a huge buffet of food, games with prizes, and loads of amazing door prizes. You must be present to win the door prizes. You must be in post prom at 12:15 am and once you leave, you cannot re-enter.

Twelve Watertown High School students took part in the 2024 National German Exam, with over half winning awards. Achievement awards for better than average performance went to Elisabeth Huhn (Level 2); Kenny Pettitt, Sara Rodriguez Machado, and Brad Vick (Level 3); and Alex Chamberlin (Level 4). Silver medals for scoring above the 80th percentile nationwide went to Emily Page (Level 4) and Jack Zoellick (Level 3). Connor Hawes earned a gold medal for scoring above the 90th percentile nationwide in the Level 4 exam. Great job to all!
