Freshman Preview Night

We are excited to announce Watertown High School’s Freshman Preview Night on Thursday, January 12, 2023 for incoming 9th grade students (current 8th grade students)!  This is a fantastic opportunity for incoming 9th grade students and families to prepare for their transition to Watertown High School for the 2023-24 school year by learning more about course offerings, the course registration process, and academic as well as extracurricular opportunities available at WHS.  Please review the information below to ensure you have everything you need to make Freshman Preview Night as valuable as possible to set the stage for your student’s success at WHS!  We highly encourage all incoming students and families to attend!

 

Event Description & Logistics

The night will include a presentation by WHS administration, department team leaders, and school counselors highlighting important information for incoming students to consider as they plan for their academic career at WHS.  Immediately after the presentation, families are welcome to tour WHS to familiarize themselves with the building and meet with teachers, club advisors, and counselors to help answer any questions about the course registration process in addition to extracurricular opportunities available at WHS.  Devices will also be available for families to complete the enrollment process in the WHS Media Center.  

 

5:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.:  Orientation & Freshman Course Information Presentation (WHS Auditorium)

6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.:  WHS Stations and Self-Guided Tour of WHS (Watertown High School)

 

During the self-guided tour, students are encouraged to complete the WHS Passport for a chance to win a prize including a Hydro Flask or a pair of Apple AirPods Earbuds!

 

Students should begin the scheduling process at home and parents are encouraged to login to Skyward with their student to assist their class selections.
