Parent Update

Greetings WHS families,

It has been another great week at WHS!  It was fantastic seeing parents/families at WHS during Parent Teacher Conferences last night.  Families are always encouraged to communicate directly with teachers regarding their student's progress in specific courses at any time.  If you or your student have any concerns about academic progress in any course, now is the time to communicate with your student’s teacher(s) and/or your student’s WHS counselor to be sure your student finds success before the end of the 1st Trimester on December 3rd.  Just a reminder that WUSD students will not have class on Thursday, October 28 or Friday, October 29. Please review the information below for important updates and have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Josh Kerr, Principal Watertown High School

After School Pick Up Safe Driving Reminders

  • This is a reminder to all drivers picking up students after school to practice patience and safe driving conditions during after the school pick up time.  An announcement was made to all WHS students to encourage student drivers to drive safely during these times, including a reminder that unsafe driving on WHS property will result in removal of parking privileges and/or citations from the Watertown Police Department.  Thanks in advance for keeping WHS students and families safe as we transition over a thousand students in and out of the building before and after school!

2021 Extra Yearbooks

  • WHS has a limited number of extra yearbooks available for purchase! Yearbooks are $50 and are on sale at the Bookkeeper's Office.

YRBS Survey

  • Watertown High School will be taking part in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) sponsored by the Department of Public Instruction this fall. The YRBS is designed to determine the prevalence of health behaviors now and over time, examine the co-occurrence of health behaviors, create usable data sets, and monitor progress through the use of objectives and indicators. These surveys are typically conducted every two years although the schedule has been interrupted the last two years. All student responses to the survey are confidential and no information is provided in a personally identifiable way. If you would prefer your child not participate in the YRBS, please return this form to Jessica Scherer, Associate Principal.
