Rotary Students

Watertown High School seniors Scott Butzen, Lauren Kwapil, and Evelyn Rhodes have been selected as Watertown Rotary Club students for the month of May 2025. Butzen, Kwapil and Rhodes are being recognized for their academic achievements, participation in athletics and school organizations, and their contributions to the Watertown community. The students are invited to join the Rotary Club each Monday at its weekly luncheon meetings.

About the students:
⭐ Scott Butzen is the son of Christy and Brian Butzen. He has been a four-year member of the WHS Music Program, Boys Swim team, and Boys Tennis team. He is also participating in National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, Model United Nations, and Mentoring this year. When not at WHS, Scott is active in Boy Scouts and is currently working at Main Street Café. Scott’s future plans include attending UW-Whitewater to study education.

⭐ Lauren Kwapil is the daughter of Joe and Kelly Kwapil. Lauren has been a four-year member of the Marching Band, Pep Band, Girls Tennis team and Girls Soccer team. She has also been a three-year member of National Art Honor Society (currently Vice President) and Wrestling Team Manager. Lauren has also been involved in Tri-M Music Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Drum Major. She currently works at Mullen's Dairy Bar and is planning on attending UW-Eau Claire to study Rehabilitation Science for Physical Therapy.

⭐ Evelyn Rhodes is the daughter of Joseph and Lorraine Rhodes. Evelyn has been a member of the Girls Volleyball team and Girls Softball team for four years. She has also been involved in Girls Basketball, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, INTERACT, and Athletic Leadership during her high school career. Evelyn plans to attend Bryant and Stratton College to major in Physical Therapy and play softball.
