Ballot Question Approved News Cover

Dear Members of our Watertown Community,

Thank you for your continued support of learning and teaching across the Watertown Unified School District. The dedication shown by our staff, families, community partners and Board of Education members is a powerful reminder of what makes this community so special. Your commitment to our students and our shared future strengthens our district daily.

At the December 15, 2025 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved placing a $4.5 million Operational Referendum question on the April 7, 2026 ballot. This action reflects months of thoughtful discussion, community feedback, and a shared belief in maintaining the strong educational experiences our students deserve.

As we move forward, it is essential that all members of our community stay engaged and informed. In the coming weeks and months, we will share much more information about our district’s financial picture, the purpose of the operational referendum, and what it means for our students, our staff, and our future. We are committed to transparency and open communication throughout this process.

This work continues to honor our tradition of strong public education while embracing the innovation and transformation needed to guide every learner toward success. Thank you again for your partnership and your unwavering support of our schools.
