October Rotary Students

Watertown High School seniors Jack Sullivan, Taija Garcia, and Kylie Tripp have been selected as Watertown Rotary Club students for the month of October 2025. Sullivan, Garcia, and Tripp are being recognized for their academic achievements, participation in athletics and school organizations, and their contributions to the Watertown community. The students are invited to join the Rotary Club each Monday at its weekly luncheon meetings.

About the students:
Jack Sullivan, son of Mike and Sarah Sullivan, is a senior at Watertown High School with a strong record of academic achievement, leadership, and extracurricular involvement. Jack has been a four-year member of the WHS Music Program participating in the WHS Musical, Choir, Carolers, Show Choir and Orchestra. He has also been a four-year member of the Boys Soccer and Tennis teams. In addition, Jack has been a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is currently the Vice President of the Spanish Honor Society. He plans to attend a four-year college to study biology on a pre-med track, with aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field.

Watertown High School senior, Taija Garcia, has demonstrated strong involvement in both school and community activities throughout high school. Taija is the daughter of Lorenzo Garcia and Karleen Long. Taija has been a four-year member of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) currently serving as President as well as serving as Vice President for Student Council. She has also been a four-year member of the Girls Swim Team and Track & Field. Taija is also currently active in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Interact (Student Rotary), and Ecology Club. When not at WHS, she is volunteering her time with the Red Cross Blood Drives and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She plans to attend a two-year technical school in the Surgical Tech program and/or a four-year university on a pre-med track.

Kylie Tripp, daughter of Amy Tripp and Mark Tripp, has committed involvement in academics, athletics, music, and volunteer work throughout her high school career. Kylie has been a four year member of the WHS Band Program as well as the Cross Country Team. She has also been involved in the Spanish Honor Society, currently serving as Co-Secretary & Treasurer, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, HOSA (Future Health Professionals), Pit Orchestra, and Track & Field. Kylie has also been working toward a Global Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. Outside of WHS, Kylie volunteers at Zachariah's Acres and works at River Bend. She plans to attend a four-year university to study biology & Spanish.
