Tina’s greatest joy has been being a stay-at-home mom -  which has allowed her to be an integral part of her children’s growth and education.  Tina is most known for her enthusiasm for life and positive attitude.  Tina plans to bring her knowledge of the WUSD and willingness to listen to work together for the best educational experience for the students of the District. Tina believes that it is important for teachers, families and the community to work together in providing our youth with a solid educational foundation while maintaining fiscal discipline - contributing to a thriving community. Craig Wortman

Craig Wortman (Term Expires April 2025)

Committees: Policy Review (Chair), Fiscal Management

Craig Wortman was born in Watertown, and has called Watertown his home since 2009 where he resides with his wife, Jessica (currently teaching 7th grade ELA in the WUSD) and their two children. Craig is the son of a retired elementary school teacher.

While putting himself through school, Craig worked in the food service industry for 10 years, performing various management roles. During this time, Craig graduated from UW-Waukesha with an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Sciences while pursuing a Music Education Degree.  Craig was over half way through his degree when he was inspired to pursue a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an entrepreneurship concentration. Having observed his father serve a life-long career in School Business Administration/Municipal Finance, Craig was interested in a similar education. Craig excelled in areas like administrative policy, organizational behavior, and finance.

It wasn’t until he was in college that it was documented that he had a learning difference called dyslexia. Craig never let this learning barrier stand in his way to successfully complete his education or pursue his goals.

Upon graduation from UW-Whitewater, Craig was hired by Wells Fargo and obtained his series 6, 7, and 63 brokers’ (securities) licenses. He went on to work for Thrivent Financial to obtain a Health and Life Insurance license before the 2008 economic downturn. Since 2011, Craig has had his own business serving the Watertown community in the home improvement/property maintenance industry and loves to help people and fix things.

Craig is eager to serve his community. He is empathetic to students with disabilities, and encourages young people to continue their education as far as they find the benefit in doing so - and there’s no shame in entering into the skilled trades. He is focused on transparency, and seeks to find better ways to encourage parental/community involvement and communication. He strongly believes that the Watertown Unified School District is on the brink of being one of the state’s best districts!
