Josh Kerr

Josh Kerr - Principal

Josh has been the WHS Principal since the 2021-2022 school year. During his tenure at Watertown High School, Josh was an Associate Principal for seven years and also taught US History, Government, and Philosophy in addition to being involved with the Endeavor Charter School and the Varsity Boys Soccer Coach.

Before joining Watertown High School in 2011, Josh graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. Josh then taught social studies at Prosser Career Academy in Chicago Public Schools. During his time at Prosser, Josh also served as the Varsity Wrestling Coach and JV Boys Soccer Coach.

In 2011, Josh received his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on English as a Second Language from National-Louis University in Chicago, IL. In 2014, Josh received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Josh loves spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their two children, Miles and Eliza. He also enjoys soccer, fishing, and the outdoors. He is excited about students realizing their potential and is passionate about students finding ways to give back to their community.

Jamie Koepp

Jamie Koepp - Associate Principal/Athletic Director/Summer School Director

Jamie Koepp is entering his 27th year in education and 20th year at Watertown. He came to Watertown in the fall of 2005 as a school counselor and head basketball coach for the Goslings. The Milwaukee native has been a middle and high school teacher as well as a school counselor in MPS prior to coming to Watertown. Prior to being a WHS administrator, Jamie worked as a WHS school counselor for 11 years.

Jamie prides himself as a life-long learner as evident by his continued education. He has earned his Bachelor’s Degree, State of Wisconsin teaching license, Master’s Degree, three Post Master’s degrees and his Ed.D. Jamie also earned his CMAA and is now recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as a member of a very distinguished group known as Certified Masters Athletic Administrators.  Less than 1% of athletic administrators in the nation have earned this distinction. 

Jamie is proud that Watertown is one of two schools in the state and one of 29 schools in the nation that is recognized as Level 3 status in the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) School Honor Roll Program.  This is a direct testament of the commitment and dedication of the entire coaching staff at Watertown.

He has embraced living in the Watertown community and looks forward to continuing to work with the many talented students and exceptional staff. Jamie enjoys watching and playing sports along with reading when time permits.  Jamie has two adult children and is proud to call Watertown his home.

Jen Pennington

Jennifer Pennington - Associate Principal

Jennifer taught in the English department and was the Site Coordinator for the AVID program at WHS until the opportunity to join the administrative team arose in January, 2022. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 and earned a certificate in Secondary Education from UW-Madison in 1996. After teaching for seven years at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, she earned her Master's in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004.

Jen is married to her college sweetheart, Eric, and has two children, Madison and Dashiel. They live in Oconomowoc but recognize the superiority of the Watertown area in every possible way!

Jen Bault

Jennifer Bault - Associate Principal

Jennifer Bault has been a teacher for the last 25 years and has experience at both high school and middle school levels. Prior to becoming a Gosling, she taught AP Biology, AP Env. Sci., Biotech and Biomed at Nicolet High School in Glendale, WI. Along with teaching, Jennifer also coached dance and cheer as well as forensics and served as a student council advisor, co-musical director and an advisor for a variety of clubs and activities throughout her tenure as a teacher.  Jennifer’s hometown is Potosi, WI but currently lives in Saukville, WI.

Jennifer earned her BA Degree from Concordia University of Wisconsin with a major in Biology and minor in Mathematics. She received her teaching certification from UW-Milwaukee. She earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and also earned both her Principalship and C&I Directors licensure from Concordia University-WI.  Jennifer enjoys taking courses and adding to her learning.  Most recently, she took a course through UW-Oshkosh on Environmental Wellness. 

Travel is Jennifer’s greatest passion.  Her bucket list items include traveling to all 50 states and all 7 continents as well as visiting every national park in the US.  She currently has 1 remaining state, 3 continents and a handful of parks left to visit.  Jennifer shares her love of travel with her husband Brian and daughters’, Hunter and Hailey.
