I am honored and privileged to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for the Watertown Unified School District. Prior to my work in Watertown, I served as the Principal of West Bend East High School in West Bend, Wisconsin, from 2003 to 2011. Prior to my work in West Bend, I was an assistant principal and Academic and Assessment Director at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin. Before my work as an administrator, I was an English teacher at Nathan Hale High School and at McHenry High School in McHenry, Illinois.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in English Education, my Master of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Administrative Leadership, my superintendent licensure at Marquette University, and my doctorate at UW-Madison in Educational Policy and Leadership.
I am actively involved in the community and serving the education profession. I am a member of Rotary, and I serve on the Watertown Library Board and Watertown Chamber Board of Directors. I am also a member of the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators. I served as a Board member and the President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County, and I have served on the Executive Board for the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators.
Most important to me is my family. I married my husband, Tom, in 1999, and we have three children that are currently attending or have attended schools in the WUSD - one WHS graduate, one current WHS student and one student at RMS. It is my hope that all of my children will be graduates of the Watertown Unified School District.
