Congratulations to the WHS forensics team on their success at the Beaver Dam tournament! The hard work and dedication of Gabe Elsen, Michelle Stangler, and Caitlin Hanley resulted in those three students advancing to the power round for the first time. A number of students led the team into the power round. In Play Acting, Molly Kellner and Gabe Elsen placed second. Gabe Elsen tied for third place in Radio. In Group Interpretation, Izzy Beltz, Emily Krysinski, Yazmin Montalban, Britany Mueller, and Meghan Mueller placed third in the power round. Michelle Stangler placed third in the power round for Farrago. Caitlin Hanley placed sixth in the power round for Prose.
Girls Softball Meeting Today
There will be a softball meeting for any girl interested in playing softball this year right after school today in room S280 (Lecture Hall). Practice schedules and apparel forms will be available. If you can not attend please see Coach Jansen before today's meeting.
Spaghetti Week at the Nest
It’s spaghetti week at the WHS Nest. Please bring in noodles and pasta sauce from February 27th to March 2nd.. Bring your items into the main office or to Lobes and Strobes!

HOSA: Our next meeting is Thursday, March 2nd in S146 (Mrs. LaDew's Room). We will be kicking off our fundraiser, as well as signing up for HOSA t-shirts. It is important that all members are present. See you at 3:20 on the 2nd!
Track & Field Parent/Athlete Meeting
There is a parent-athlete meeting for all students interested in track and field on Monday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the WHS Commons. Parents and students are expected to attend. If you have any questions, please see Coach Mertens in Room S124.
Track & Field Practice
The first day of track and field practice is March 6th. In order to participate, students must have their red card information turned into the main office by Thursday, March 2nd. If you have any questions, please see Coach Mertens in Room S124.
Madison College Scholars of Promise Program
Attention juniors and seniors: You may qualify for the Madison College Scholars of Promise program. This new program pays tuition and fees for up to six semesters. Not only that, college staff will guide you through the admissions, financial aid and class enrollment processes.
Javier Neira Salazar, manager of the program, will be at the Watertown campus to answer questions on Thursday, March 9 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Seniors, Baby Pictures and Senior Quotes can still be turned in for the yearbook. Your pictures and quotes can be emailed to Mr. Phillips at: PhillipsM@mywusd.org The cost is $5 for a quote and $7 for baby pictures OR $10 for both. The money can be brought to the bookkeeper. The deadline will be March 1st.
