How can I get into the alumni resources?

To use the Alumni resources, you must create a profile that identifies you with your graduating class. This resources in intended for Watertown Alumni only.

To be approved, your profile must include either an email address, or a phone number. If these fields are blank, the system will delete the profile as there is no way for us to contact you.

If you wish to create an alumnus profile, please fill out this form and we will review and enter your profile generally within 24-hours (72 on weekends).

To prevent spam attacks and fake entries, we have chosen to review each entry manually (class officers should see below for information on importing large numbers of profiles at a time from a spreadsheet of names).

Once you have a profile, you will be able to create class discussions, post information pertaining to your class, and search the alumni database.

Okay I have a profile. Now what?

Once your profile is reviewed and entered, you will receive an email that gives you your login information.  The first time you login, you will be required to change your password.  By following these two easy steps, you will have access to the Class Notes, Discussion Boards, and Directory Search.

What is the difference between these resources?

Directory Search simply allows users to find information about other registered users who have allowed that information to be posted (e.g. phone number and email address).

Class Notes are designed to allow you to post simple notes related to you or your class that may be of interest to others in your class.

For example, "The class of 'xx will be celebrating its yth year reunion next July at Riverside Park. Please RSVP to email@address.com."

Or maybe, "My wife Inita and I just had our 24th child (all boys).  We made the Guiness Book of World Records and we will be featured on Discovery Channel's 'Dirty Jobs' next month."

Discussion Boards are threaded conversations.  That basically means that not only can you post information, but others may respond to it.  Each post is identified by its author.

For example:

Inita Parti: "hi everyone.  just saw the class note on the reunion next week.  who all is going to be there."

Kenneth Gitoverit: "Well Inita, I will definitely come if Ira isn't there.
I still haven't forgave him for stealin' my girlfriend at prom during senior year."
Ira Newmann:  "Ken, I'm sorry for that. it weren't nuthin' personal. I wuz jest an
idiot in high screwl.  I ain't like that no more.  Please come to the reunion and I'll
buy you a fruit punch er sumthin'."
Kenneth Gitoverit: "Make it two in yer gotta deal."
Holly Sunshine: "That's just so beautiful guys.
I.M. Gunnahurl:  "You three haven't changed since high school.  I'm not coming."
