William Loss - Principal

William (Bill) Loss has served as an educator for 23 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1991 and spent the next fourteen years as science teacher and soccer coach with the D.C. Everest School District and School District of McFarland. In 2007, Bill earned his Master of Arts degree from Edgewood College in Educational Administration, and continued his studies at Edgewood to receive superintendent licensure in 2010.

Bill began has a variety of administrative experience, including serving as athletic director at Beaver Dam High School from 2007-09 and assistant principal at Baraboo High School from 2009-10. In 2010, he was named principal at Baraboo High School, a position he held until 2013. From 2013-15, Bill served as principal at Kewaskum High School. Bill views Watertown as his destination district and is proud to serve the students and learning community at WHS.

Bill has five children: Madeline, Ian, Donovan and twin girls - Elsa and Bella. When not committed to professional pursuits or spending time with family, Bill enjoys running, working out, golfing, house projects, and spending time on the lake at the family cabin.

Josh Kerr - Assistant Principal

In 2011, Josh joined Watertown High School as a social studies teacher and Varsity boys’ soccer coach.  During his tenure at Watertown High School, Josh has taught U.S. History, Government, and Philosophy in addition to being involved with Endeavor Charter School.  Josh is beginning his 2nd year as Assistant Principal at Watertown High School. 

Before joining Watertown High School, Josh graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Studies Education.  Josh then taught social studies at Prosser Career Academy in the Chicago Public Schools.  During his time at Prosser, Josh also served as the Varsity wrestling coach and Junior Varsity boys’ soccer coach.

In 2011, Josh received his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on English as a Second Language from National-Louis University in Chicago, IL.  In 2014, Josh received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Josh loves soccer, fishing, running, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their two children, Miles (3) and Eliza (2).  He is excited about students realizing their potential and is passionate about students finding ways to give back to their community. 


Melissa Hahn - Interim Assistant Principal

Melissa is entering her first semester as Assistant Principal at Watertown High School.  She has spent 10 years in the classroom.  She began her career in 2005 at Marinette High School, and then joined WHS in 2007, where she taught for 8 years in the English department.  During her time at WHS, she advised Key Club and is the Varsity volleyball coach.

Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education from St. Norbert College in 2005, and earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University in 2012.

Melissa loves the outdoors, traveling and coaching.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, and her two children, Victoria (3) and Naomi (1).

Jamie Koepp - Assistant Principal/Athletic Director

Jamie Koepp is entering his 18th year in education.  He came to Watertown in the fall of 2005 as a school counselor and head basketball coach for the Goslings.  The Milwaukee native has been a middle and high school teacher as well as a school counselor in MPS prior to coming to Watertown.   The former assistant basketball coach at Cardinal Stritch University and Milwaukee Juneau Head Basketball coach was named the Milwaukee City Conference Coach of the Year in his final season before relocating to the city he now proudly calls home.

Jamie prides himself as a life-long learner as evident by his continued education. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia University of Wisconsin in Liberal Arts followed by receiving his State of Wisconsin teaching license from Alverno College as a graduate student.  He received a Master’s Degree from Marquette University in Educational Policy and Leadership.  Jamie received two Post Master’s degrees, the first being a School Counselor certification from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and secondly, a School Administration certification from Marquette University.

He has embraced living in the Watertown community and looks forward to continuing to work with the many talented students and exceptional staff.  Jamie enjoys watching and playing sports along with reading when time permits.  Jamie resides in Watertown with his two children, Andre and Jenna.
