Andrew Bare - Schurz School Principal

Andy Bare is a lifelong resident of Jefferson. His entire family, except for one brother, still lives there. He attended St. John’s Catholic grade school and Jefferson Junior and Senior High Schools. He owned and operated a bar/restaurant in Jefferson for ten years during the 1980s. There he realized he wanted something more out of life, so he returned to school in 1986 and began work on an education degree. He graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1989 and began teaching sixth grade at Riverside Middle School in 1990. He received his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from UW-Madison in 1993 and was named the assistant principal at Riverside Middle School in 1995. In 1998, he became the proud principal of Schurz School. Recently he state, “It’s hard to believe it’s been 12 years, but I love it!”

He lives with his wife in Jefferson. His youngest daughter lives in their home so she can work on her nursing degree after finishing four years in the Air Force.
Andy’s hobbies include woodworking, coaching, sports officiating and watching basketball, volunteering at church and with the Knights of Columbus. He is also on the Board of Directors of the County City Credit Union.
 

Jenny Borst - Douglas School Principal

Jenny Borst received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in December 1999. She began her career as a teacher at Rancho Romero Elementary School in Alamo, California. After teaching for three and a half years in California, she returned to Wisconsin to teach in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. Jenny received her Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May 2006. She has been the principal at Douglas since September 2006.

Brad Clark - Webster School Principal

Brad Clark graduated from U.W. - Whitewater in 1992 with a degree in Elementary Education. Brad earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2000, from Marian University in Fond du Lac.

Brad’s entire education career has been with the Watertown School District. Brad was hired as a long term substitute teacher for fourth grade at Schurz Elementary School in 1994. He then transferred to Lebanon School teaching fourth and fifth grades in a combined classroom for four years. In 1998, Brad transferred to Webster School to teach fourth grade for two years and fifth grade for two years.

In 2002, Brad began his administrative career as the Assistant Principal of Riverside Middle School. He remained at the middle school for two years until 2004 when he was hired as principal at Webster School.

Webster School is very important to Brad. He not only taught at Webster but as a child attended Webster from kindergarten through sixth grade. Both of his children attended Webster and his wife has also taught at Webster School. He works hard to make sure all of Webster’s students get a great education.
 

Erin Meyer - Lebanon/Lincoln School Principal - Summer School Coordinator

Erin Meyer returned to the Watertown Unified School District in 2008, as principal of Lincoln School, Lebanon School and Summer School Director. Ms. Meyer started her teaching career in 1990 in southern California, returning to Wisconsin in 1993, as a special education teacher at Schurz Elementary School. Erin also taught at Douglas Elementary school for eight years. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor degree in special education and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.

After Erin’s twin sons (Connor and Griffin) were born, she worked part-time for CESA 2 as an educational consultant and worked for two years as a student services coordinator for the Sun Prairie School District. Over the years, she has coached boys and girls tennis, served on Wisconsin Association for Students with Behavioral Disorders, coordinated mentoring programs, and peer mediation.

After having the opportunity to work in many other school districts, Erin is proud to be a part of the Watertown School District. When she isn’t engaged in professional pursuits, she enjoys going for walks, cooking, playing golf, skiing, attending Badger and Packer games, and playing with her three cats.
